But is it worth the money?
In this review, I will share my thoughts on whether the Bowflex dumbbell stand is worth it.
First, let’s look at the product specs of the Bowflex SelectTech dumbbell stand.

Why I Bought The Bowflex Stand
There were 2 primary reasons I paid the extra money to get the stand.
First, I am trying to have a tidier home gym.
I have had too many weights and dumbbells on my floor in my home gym, which drives my wife crazy.
So it was worth the money to me to keep these dumbbells off the floor and nicely organized. I like how the rack can be up against a wall and out of the way until I need the dumbbells.
The second reason I bought the Bowflex stand was for accessibility. Not only is having dumbbells on the floor messy, but it’s also hard to lift and drop the dumbbells. Having these Bowflex weights on a taller rack allows me to reach them easier and place them back safely, without extra bending over or dropping.
So, do I think the stand was worth it?
My Review of The Bowflex Stand
I am going to review the stand in three categories:
- Assembly
- Functionality
- Does it do what I needed it to do?
Assembly
It took me just under 30 minutes to completely assemble the stand. While the directions were not super clear, they were clear enough, and there were not a lot of pieces to figure out how to place.
Once assembled, the stand was very sturdy but not heavy. At just around 30 pounds, it’s easy to pick up and move around until you find where you want to put it.
The only downside I saw to the final product after assembly was how the racks attached to the stand. Each rack doesn’t actually attach to the stand but instead gets tied to the stand with a strap. While this technically works, it feels like the right thing to do would have been to actually create a way for these acks to attach by screw or fastener, not a strap.
Functionality
As far as functionality, The Bowflex dumbbell stand performs as expected.
It holds the adjustable dumbbells in place securely.
It does not wobble and isn’t uneven on the floor.
It’s lightweight enough for me to move around as needed.
I mean, there isn’t much that it’s supposed to do; what it is supposed to do, it does well.
But I wanted it for a few specific reasons. So, does the Bowflex dumbbell stand solve my problems?
Does it do what I need it to do?
As I mentioned above, there were two primary reasons that I wanted to buy the Bowflex dumbbells stand.
The first of those was simply out of a strong desire to keep my home gym cleaner and tidier. I didn’t want anything else on the floor, as it tends to clutter up the home gym. So the stand to me was a great opportunity to take the bow flex dumbbells and give them a permanent home.
So, in that regard, they have been perfect.
They keep my home gym cleaner by keeping my dumbbells off the floor, and the stand itself is aesthetically pleasing. It looks like a piece of bow flex equipment, which is great for me since I’m such a Bowflex fan. It has a sharp and sleek design, an almost industrial look.
The second part of this equation is whether or not purchasing the Bowflex stand would make it easier for me to pick up and drop the Bowflex dumbbells whenever I am using them.
I wanted to avoid the need to bend all the way down to the floor to pick up my dumbbells or bend back down to put them on the floor, leading to possible injury.

The Bowflex stand itself stands at a height of around 25 inches, and when the dumbbells are on the stand, they are sitting around 30 inches off the floor.
This is a similar height that I would expect a normal dumbbell rack to be at the gym or even here at home, so the Bowflex stand does make the dumbbells more accessible to me versus keeping them on the floor.
They put the dumbbells at a comfortable height, which allows me to easily pick them up, or put them back into the casing as desired.
My Final Verdict On The Bowflex Dumbbell Stand
So, is the Bowflex dumbbells stand worth it?
Well to me, it is. It solved my two primary issues by keeping the dumbbells off the floor and making them easy for me to grab. It also adds a nice element with its aesthetic look and feel, complementing the other Bowflex items in my home gym.
There are other similar products available on Amazon, which you can check out here, but for nearly the same price, I wanted the Bowflex name brand to go with my new Bowflex adjustable dumbbells.
So, for these reasons, I would say the Bowflex dumbbells stand was definitely worth the cost, and I’m happy I spent the extra money to get it.
